My Philosophy
I hold a sex-positive viewpoint that simply means that all sex, as long as it is healthy and explicitly consensual, is a positive thing. I understand the influence that sexuality has on an individual’s life and their environment. I am specially trained in sex therapy methods and I have proficient knowledge about the physiological processes that are a part of human sexuality.
What to Expect
In the first few sessions, I will be getting to know you and learn about what brought you to seek sex therapy. We will explore your background and current life dynamics. Special emphasis will be placed on your sexual history, including how you learned about sexuality, what messages about sexuality have you learned and how you developed your sexual beliefs and your sexual behaviors to date. I will assist you in providing an accurate assessment that will help guide our treatment planning. We will discuss the assessment and your treatment goals throughout the counseling process.
